In the Philippines, one of the major problem is deforestation because of the excessively used of wood for creating building and furniture, the decreasing rate of tree in the Philippines results to shortage of woods that is why the Philippine Government issued an executive order 879 promoting to use 25% of bamboo as a material in creating desk and furniture for school. But it is not enough to lessen the excessively used of woods because individuals are not aware with the use of bamboo since there is no research institution that develop bamboo as wood material and our people are not skilled enough to do it. To fulfill the proposed bill, the proposed project is to build-up a Research and Development Center for Bamboo in Lipa City, A Research and Development Center that improves the knowledge of individuals about bamboo and to learn to appreciate the use of bamboo as alternative wood materials. It will give importance and discover new things with the use of bamboo tree to be exported in different country and provide jobs for individuals. Philippines will be saved from deforestation because cutting of timber that has a long period of time to grow will be avoided.
