Summary, etc. The study is about giving importance to tourism and economic growth of the City of Baguio. Due to the increasing number of tourist attraction, it aims to provide a footnote in history of the City, which helps to determine the identity of what is the Baguio City. This study shows how blessed the city with so many historical sites. Historic buildings in Baguio provides a glimpse into the past and lend character to the community as well as serving the practical purpose today. A Proposed Adaptive Reuse of one of the historical site in Baguio City named "The Hill Grand Hotel: an adaptive reuse of the old Diplomat hotel in Baguio City" is an actually changes the intent of a structure to meet the modern user's needs. The project provides a solution and provable option that will benefits the community, City Governments and the target users. It is the fusion of the heritage and modern building that will give a glimpse in the past and understand the present situation of the City of Baguio that proof of the progress of the City. The main goal of this project is to provide an evidence that adaptive reuse of an old building is a strategy to create a facilities that provide accommodation that Ȍll benefits the city and the target user. The researcher choose to undergo the process of adaptive reuse of one of the heritage site in Baguio which is the former Diplomat hotel. Not just to preserve the historical character of the site but also to show the appreciation and promotion of the culture of the city and additional source of income opportunities in the city. Its aim is to be a city centered hotel that cater a good quality of service in accommodation that will benefits not only the target user but also give opportunities to the people of Baguio City by offering more jobs while improving the surrounding to restore the good image of the said heritage site.
