520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. In developing countries like the Philippines, more prominence is given to physical health. But despite giving importance to physical health, hospitals catering such impairments don't maintain their facilities and the environment are not the pleasing. In addition, the type of treatment process that is used and the design of the existing facilities have been ineffective and unconducive for the healing of the patients. This thesis will synthesize and explore existing studies and researches on stroke; facilities needed for treating such diseases, modern specialized hospital facility design, the factors that needs to be considered when designing it, the effects of several elements to the patients and staff, as well as the importance of nature to their recovery and well-being. The facility will focus on key aspects of safety, building codes, and building performance to ensure a comprehensive understanding of universal healthcare design and functionality. It will also exhibit a strong investigation of the elements of evidence-based design such as materials, day lighting, indoor/outdoor spaces, color, and nature to create a healing environment that is conducive to patient wellness and recovery.
