Summary: The book, however, has been written for field workers in general, rather than for field workers in one specific or local family planning program. Various parts of the world have different cultures and different ways of doing things. The functions of family planning field workers vary from one country to another. Because of these facts, family planning instructors will perhaps find that the text of this book will not be completely applicable in all countries and all family planning programs. Instructors will want to add or delete information, modify certain sections, or completely rewrite the book to best fit local conditions.
