Summary: Poor infection control and improper hygiene of hospital personnel are some of the factors that can promote nosocomial infection among hospitalized patients. Health care providers play a great role in preventing and controlling the development of infection also the compliance of each nurse is to be considered. It is the duty and responsibility of the nurse to strictly comply and adhere to the hospitals preventive measures against nosocomial infections and other infectious disease. Furthermore, nurses as health care workers should be aware of the ways to slow or prevent the transmission of infectious diseases and knowledge of its potential risk to the client and hospital staffs.
