Labor pains have been causing increased anxiety levels among Filipino women particularly those who are undergoing a Cesarean Section (CS) type of delivery. A body of scientific evidence shows that unmanaged pre-operative anxiety levels often lead to prolonged wound healing in patients who underwent major surgeries, which could lead to the use of expensive pain control medication and extended hospital stay. This scenario adds up to the rising cost of healthcare in the Philippines.
