The study describes ways to plan each department of the general hospital both internally and its relationship to other departments. The illustrations are not standards of planning but show methods by which acceptable solutions can be evolved from almost any set of functional requirements. This description of methods will demonstrate the manner in which their ideas and the many functional requirements are translated in the building design.
