Dischidia purpurea Merr., also known as "Kalipkip" in Tagalog is woody vine used traditionally for poultice to ripen boils, treat symptoms of urinary cystitis, inflammation, leucorrhea and as a diuretic agent (Quisumbing, 1978; Chen et.al., 1993; Ha et.al., 2004).
