The proposed Valenzuela East Medical Center will show the new architectural tendencies for the hospitals in the near future. The functionality that all health centers, government or private, require in order to adapt to new technologies and sophisticated medical equipment must be combined with an aesthetics that is pleasant for patients, visitors and medical staff. This arrangement is supplemented with the best circulation solution as possible and accesses that must be convenient and efficient. Moreover, it will provide a more humane environment for the people, who are already under immense stress, to comfortably stay. At the end, combining the gathered data and design considerations, the outcome of the project includes natural, biophilic elements and Salutogenic Design, "the origins of health", that deals with the relationships between stress, wellness and human health. In addition to the results, is by changing the perception of people on what a hospital should look and feel, inside and out. The project was planned and designed in accordance to the Guidelines in the Planning and Design of a Hospital and other Health Facilities, The new Organizational Charts for a Public Hospital and the Manual for 100-bed hospital provided by the Department of Health; and supported by the Local Government Unit of Valenzuela.
