Every year, thousands of tourists and holidaymakers flock to the picturesque town of Lucban, Quezon to witness and join the merry-making of the local inhabitants as they celebrate the now famous San Isidro Pahiyas Festival — referred to by many as a fiesta to end all fiestas. Held every May 15 the festival has fast become one of the country's tourist attractions prompting the Department of Tourism to list down Lucban as tourist town and a cultural heritage site. During the San Isidro Pahiyas Festival, each household tries to outdo each other in friendly competition as they vie for the honor of recognizing their creativity. This accounts for the most curious décor that the unstoppable spirit of the festival tends to show. A processional of the image of San Isidro de Labrador in whose honor the festival is held is the highlight of the celebration where houses along the procession route are the best dressed, decked with the choicest fruits and vegetables from the owner's farm.
