Rehabilitation is a fundamental aim of •correctional institution. Current correctional philosophy calls for individualized treatment to the greatest extent even in the maximum security institution. The essential elements of a well-rounded individualized correctional program planning are based on complete case histories and examinations. Medical and dental services providing corrective treatment, individual and group therapy, counseling, academic and vocational training, indoor recreation, casework services for the prisoner and their families, and for the preparation for the parole or release.
