There are more than hundreds of shopping centers in the Philippines; most of them are located here in Metro Manila while others can be found in others cities were large number of population and high socio-economic growth can be found. As long there have been cities and towns there have been market places. Market were organized to provide central location for buying and selling, but they also serve as community gathering spots were people could meet, exchange gossip, and learn news from far away places. Even today special sections of some cities are reserved for markets that function perhaps once a week.
