Summary: Antimicrobial resistance has become a widespread problem in all countries, irrespective of the people's social stature. Pseudomonas aeruginosa has acquired resistance to commonly used antibiotics and is now a Priority 1 pathogen by World Health Organization (WHO) for research and development of new antibiotics.
