The Thesis proposal focuses on the development of the waterfront of Escolta, Manila. It's mainly developing the sidewalk fronting the Pasig River in Escolta. The idea is to design a state of the art Waterfront Development in Escolta considering the site has a high historical value and most of the buildings were declared as a heritage site or structure by the National Heritage Commission of the Philippines (NHCP). The development of the area wilt help uplift more the area not only because of its good historical value but also for its new development. The proposal is to design a recreational area that can also help revitalized the environment and the river front itself. It will have a separate building like restaurant, café, administration building, and others. The area will have a mixed of activities that can help the Filipinos and the tourist enjoy the area. The style of the building will follow some style of the heritage structures in the area, to help preserved the style in Escolta.
