The HOPE: A Home and Development Center for Street children is a research project that blocks into the study of a facility for street children in the Philippines. The purpose of this study shall lead the reader to understand the situation of the underprivileged street children worldwide and in the Philippines. Also, they will be aware of the measures done by the authorities in solving such phenomenon. It envisions to acquire a suitable facility that will cater the needs of street children at the same time will help them grow and become fruitful units of society.
A series of reviewed article pertaining to the Psychological impact of the Built Environment, the role of colors in the daily lives of street children and how they can affect their characteristics, mentality and mood are assessed in order to aid and gyide the entire research about the essence, materiality, purpose and the importance of such facility. Also, Laws and other guidelines are assessed in order for the readers to know the standards in designing a suitable place for these children.
