Extreme sports have grown into a world of sports where its enthusiasts are growing in numbers. Since this sports is relatively new, appreciation and interest in the sport can still use some exposure and marketing. In the country the sport is slowly being recognized and some facilities are in place. However, these facilities fall short of the requirements and safety features the sport offers.

This research study aims to achieve a definite solution and objective to discover valid and reliable sources of data and information about extreme sports.

In order to resolve these issues, the author conducted a research about extreme sports, its overview, the current setting of skate parks and arenas in the Philippines, and studies about Sports Arena design both local and foreign. For comparative study, the latter research includes definitions of terms about the sport, space requirements and design solutions.

This hopes to contribute as a research and reference material for the standard and efficient design for an Extreme Sports Arena.
