520 | _aAn airplane an helicopter may be categorized according to function and field of operation into three types: (1) commercial aircraft, including those for transport of passengers and cargo by scheduled and non-scheduled airlines, (2) military aircraft and (3) utility or general aircraft, which includes all types not included in the other two. The particular characteristics of each plane are determined by nature of the services to be performed. Increasing specialization in usage has resulted in wide variation in design requirements. In this case, the type of operation to be discussed in the succeeding pages is all about general aircraft or general aviation. The study is establishing an aircraft training school so it is only limited in training students. It specializes in flying, maintenance and air traffic control. Yet as the discussion goes on, we will also learn about the history of aviation and its uses or importance to our society and country. Aviation means the science and practice of flight. Heavier-than-aircraft includes airplanes, helicopters, convertiplanes, gliders, VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) and STOL (Short TakeOff and Landing) craft. The article deals with heavier-than-air flight and we will learn more of these later on. A comparison of local and foreign study about this project will also be known. The design and analysis of this project will be discussed as we go along further. | ||
