520 | _aThe transition of medicine has been heavily dependent on technology. Technology has revolutionized the practice of modern day medicine by breaking barriers that has enabled medical practitioners to execute may it be medical or surgical procedures to be more efficient, less invasive, less costly (rarely), but most of all it has enabled them to execute such procedures at a much higher success rate. With that much being said about these advancements, there is a down side to it. They come at a staggering price-tag. The price of saving lives does not come cheap; may it be treatment or procedure, which is why is has made it difficult for modest healthcare facilities to keep up with the more well-off hospitals. However, there is a single variable that can save lives but cannot be bought by money, time. A hospital is a place where sick and/or injured people go to in order to be cured. But in an unfortunate occurrence of a tragic event, in most caws, it is not about being cured, it is about staying alive. | ||
