Today, these public spaces sits in a peculiar position as modern technologies are fast developing and access to information is within reach. This study explores the full capacity of what architecture has to offer through the design of such important civic spaces. In a generation of lifetime learning, public libraries will be the nodes that connects local learning with the global resources of information and knowledge. Like any other typical library this includes not only the creation of physical shelter, but an establishment of physical and psychological comfort and safety, the influence for social interaction, and connections made with built structures and the environment. When properly equipped and functioned, a public library can be the most economical and effective sources of materials and services that anyone needs to start and nurture a reading habit.
