Summary: For many years, markets in the Philippines are thriving to grow urban and rural economies. It encourages development and keeps money in the local neighborhood. The Cloverleaf Market is one of the major trading centers in Quezon City due to its availability of varieties of fresh goods and products at affordable price. But deteriorating condition and its lack of supporting facilities have become the predicament image of the Balintawak's markets. These scenarios lead to a sudden decrease in patronage coming from the public. With the succeeding development of Balintawak leading to the construction of mixed use complex from the Ayala Land Inc. (ALI), the existing Cloverleaf market will be out of context. In accordance with this problem, the author will study the existing market, conduct interviews, read various sources, formulate case studies and explore new innovations attempting to give the best solutions for the project. As the author aims to uplift the condition of markets in the Philippines, he proposes to redevelop the Cloverleaf Market with the provision of all the necessary facilities and considering the community with the use of architectural approach. Bringing new insight to the environment of markets. The author eyes the addition of food park to the market, owing to the fact that nowadays food park is a major trend to our society, since it brings variety of food choices with aesthetically pleasing environment due to architectural intervention. It will provide more job opportunities, preserve the local industry and economy, blend with the on-going development of the Cloverleaf, while strengthening their linkages to other neighboring economic centers.
